After some delays and behind-the-scenes drama, Subnautica 2 is finally out in early access on PC (Steam & Epic) as well as Xbox Series X/S. If you’re already looking to crack it open and tinker with it beyond the established limits, the best Subnautica 2 console commands and cheats should be useful.
Subnautica 2 was finally released on May 14, with Unknown Worlds promising a substantial evolution of the same formula. So far, player sentiment is high, and the game is a massive hit on Steam. With multiplayer now included in the package, the community will also look for ways to spice the solo experience up, which is why we’re especially interested in the cheats and potential console commands available for the new underwater adventure.
Subnautica 2 Console Commands
Though we weren’t sure of what to expect early on, modders have already recovered Subnautica 2 console commands from the bottom of the sea.
You’ll first need to download the UE4SS for Subnautica 2 and Console Commands enabler mods. Once that’s done and they’re installed, you’ll be able to use a number of built-in cheats easily as well as these commands you need to type in:
- god - No player damage or food/water/oxygen consumption
- invisible - Hostile lifeforms don’t detect you
- nocost - Free crafting and processing
- unlock all - Obtain all recipes, blueprints, and other items (including journal entries) in the game
- kill - Kills the player and respawns them
- night - Sets time to nighttime
- day - Sets time to daytime
- daynight # - Sets a specific time of day
- FOV # - Changes FOV
- Item [name] [amount] - Spawns any item
- oxygen - Prevents oxygen from changing
- togglehud - Hides the HUD
Subnautica 2 Cheats
Though the console command mods we’ve just shared work just fine as cheats and will likely be updated during the game’s early access journey to its 1.0 launch, some players might just want Subnautica 2 cheat trainers instead.
So far, we’d go with Rhark’s at the FearLess Cheat Engine forums. As always, you should be prepared for unexpected behaviours and things breaking, especially when tinkering with a game that’s just started its early access period. But this trainer seems to get the job done for now.
