Final Fantasy Type-0, formerly Final Fantasy Agito XIII, may not see a North American release, let alone a retail release, reports Siliconera, as Square-Enix is still making up its mind what to do with the property in the Western region. In a Q&A session with Famitsu, Tetsuya Nomura admitted that Square-Enix was investigating ways to release the game overseas, including digital distribution, and it seemed he strongly implied that the North American version would go via the digital route. Other information in the conference included that even though the game was 80% complete, it would still be delayed in Japan to Fall 2011. Final Fantasy Type-0 is an action-JRPG with a battle system will be similar to that of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The game will feature a pool of 12 heroes carrying out the missions with parties of three. Each character specializes in a different weapon and elemental spell.
