Skylander: Spyro’s Adventure has become a smash hit, with adults and children trying to collect figurines while hunting for rare silver ones, and it isn’t surprising Activision would add an expansion, which recent domain name registrations seem to indicate that is exactly what the publisher is about to do.
Domain management service MarkMonitor, which is Activision’s preferred contractor, has recently registered the following domain names:

It seems logical that whatever Activision has planned, it’s big. As in giant big. The real question is - will it involve giant figurines?
Skylander: Spyro’s Adventure was released on the 16th October, 2011 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The main game includes a tower base called the “Portal of Power” that acts as an I/O device reading figurines that are placed inside it that have unique coding embedded inside each one. This allows the player to play as that character. There are currently 37 figurines that each sell separately or in 3-in-1 packs. Single figurines generally cost $12-15 USD, while 3 packs cost $32-35 USD.
