Ancient Space, the space-combat RTS with an impressive cast of cult sci-fi actors, is now available to pre-order. We’ve also got an official release date of September 23 for PC and Macs.
As if that wasn’t enough, developer CreativeForge Games has released the first gameplay video featuring commentary from the dev team.
Those are some truly lovely cosmic backdrops. Just check out that asteroid field with the dead capital ships. Very nice. Ancient Space sort of popped up out of nowhere, but it looks like just the ticket for fans of Homeworld who’ve never really seen a successor take up that franchise’s space combat crown.
As well as strategic battles and classic space RTS gameplay, CreativeForge promises a strong narrative campaign. To bring that to life they’ve gathered a cast of actors from various cult sci-fi shows, including Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek and more.
