Ah, the French Revolution. A time of rebellion, of romance and Russell Crowe singing. And also the setting of Assassin’s Creed: Unity, which stormed E3 2014 with a bevy of new trailers.
Alongside one of those by-now-familiar CGI intros, we saw the next iteration of Assassin’s Creed’s urban stalking and free-running, as well as the confirmation that Unity will feature new co-op gameplay.
Unity’s four-player co-op allows players to group up to take on their objectives, something which seems like it should have been added to the franchise a long time ago. Still, it’s there now, and looks like it adds a welcome dose of chaos to proceedings. So many, many stabbings.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is out this October 28 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. I’ve gathered all the trailers from E3 so far below.
