Far Cry 4′s drop-in and drop-out multiplayer won’t allows friends to join together to complete story missions, Ubisoft has confirmed.
Speaking to PC Gamer, director Alex Hutchinson explained that ‘Guns for Hire’ mode will essentially ”put on hold” the singleplayer experience to let players cause general chaos around the Himalayas.
That means you can explore the map, blowing up outposts and completing non-story challenges, but you won’t be able to help out a friend in the campaign. Bit of a shame, but fair enough. To compensate, Ubisoft promise ”lots of different ways you can to use and abuse elephants”. Deal!
Far Cry 4 is due sometime November for PC and current-gen consoles.
