In celebration of ‘Elbe Day’, SEGA are making their World War II strategy game Company of Heroes 2 free to try out on Steam this weekend.
‘Elbe Day’ on April 25, 1945 marked the first contact between American and Soviet troops near the German river Elbe near the end of the conflict.
Company of Heroes 2 takes the series’ trademark action RTS gameplay over to the Eastern Front, where the German invaders must battle both the Soviet army and some fairly appalling weather. The game will automatically appear in your Steam library from now until Sunday, April 27, 2014, 9PM GMT.
In addition, there’s a 66% off sales promotion for CoH2 and its DLC over the weekend, offering the game at £10.19 on Steam until Monday, April 28.
