Ubisoft has announced a "unique online experience" called Project Widow, which aims to immerse users in the world of Assassin's Creed Unity.
It's a bit like one of those historical tours around famous cities, expect done through Google Maps. Upon reaching certain famous landmarks you'll zip back in time to Revolution-era France, discovering more about the world of the game and unlocking a few Unity goodies along the way.
Ubisoft says players can "uncover hidden Assassin’s Creed Unity art and videos, win prizes and exclusives and uncover the secrets of the assassins." I've had a bit of a wander and seen a few trailers and screenshots, but nothing too exciting. I'm sure the internet will discover a wealth of hidden secrets before the day's out.
Interestingly, your tour guide is a charismatic revolutionary played by Andy Serkis. Apparently he has his own "hidden agenda". Could Serkis be playing a larger role in Unity? He's certainly got previous when it comes to computer-generated characters.
Hop on over here to try out Project Widow.
