Today on the Paradox Interactive forums, a new and lengthy post was made by game director Henrik “Doomdark” Fåhreus as the first of a series of developer diaries for their new space exploration sim, Stellaris. This first entry comes with the goal of giving some extensive background on the game, which comes out of the same studio that developed the Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis series.
Fåhreus says that one of the goals of Paradox Interactive and the games they create “is to eventually cover the entire “human timeline… including the future.” Hence a major reason behind the choosing of Stellaris as their newest project. Fåhreus stresses a desire to put exploration and mystery at the heart of the game, creating the galaxy around players as a place that will “feel fresh and unique every time you play.”
The post mentions that these dev diaries will be posted weekly, promising a look at the art direction of Stellaris next week.
You can find out more about Stellaris on its Steam page.
The game has no release date as of yet.
