Paradox has announced that spell-‘em-up sequel Magicka 2 will be released on PC and consoles this May 26, marking the announcement with, almost inevitably, a Game of Thrones parody trailer.
Packing an improved graphics engine and new, game-changing Artifacts, Magicka 2 once again puts you in control of a group of wizards who should clearly never be allowed access to powerful magic.
Aside from a whole new solo campaign and those pretty new graphics, one of the biggest additions for the sequel is the Arteacts system. This lets you mess around with a huge range of modifiers, playing havoc with the basic combat rules and letting you create your own ridiculous combinations – for example, why not switch it so that killing an enemy randomly teleports you across the screen, or turn friendly fire up full blast to really irritate your friends.
