Puppet horror show Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 won't be out on Halloween, as developer Scott Cawthon had initially suggested, but if you're eagerly awaiting the next entry in the cult franchise you've actually got a bit less time to wait.
It's out this August 8, which is actually the first year anniversary of the original game. That's quite the impressive release schedule, and there's even more new content on the way.
Cawthon has revealed to several YouTube channels that he has a special treat in store as free DLC for Halloween, though he's keeping the nature of that surprise to himself for now. This fourth game is described as The Final Chapter, so presumably the extra content will be Freddy Fazbear himself rising from his grave to ruin another child's birthday party.
In case you've forgotten what an odd little cult hit the Freddy's series is, Warner Bros is actually making a film based on the property, written by Seth Grahame-Smith of Dark Shadows fame.
