Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft’s Patch 6.1 will be leaving the Public Test Realms next week as it officially launches for the MMO, and with it comes whole new systems to improve the lives of Azeroth’s denizens.
There’ll be the new heirloom system, we’ll be able to flood Twitter with text and images, new character models for Blood Elves, fancy new anti-aliasing and lighting, plus help for colourblind folk.
No more squinting at the screen to decipher the rainbow spectrum as the new user interface changes are here to help vanquish the evil of colours run amok. This should go nicely with the work done on improving the visual look of the game, such as better lighting and smoother edges.
World of Warcraft Patch 6.1 releases February 24th. A new trailer has been released and Blizzard has updated Battle.net with an explanation on each of the new major features.
