Mortal Kombat X had something of a dodgy launch on PC last week, with players left unhappy at the game's poor netcode and frequent crashes. Fortunately Netherrealm released a patch over the weekend to help sort out some of those issues.
They've also handed out some Krypt Koins to thanks fans for their patience. Krypt Koins are a kurrency that you kan use to buy various trinkets, such as kostumes for your favourite kharacters. See how annoying that is, Netherrealm?
“We truly appreciate your patience as we worked through Tuesday’s launch issues with the PC version of the game,” the developer writes. “Giving our fans a fun and smooth experience is very important to us, and as a thank you, we will be granting an extra 10,000 Krypt Koins to all PC players. This will appear the next time you load the game and will allow you to immediately unlock multiple premium Krypt items such as Skins, Fatalities, Brutalities, and more.”
Despite some teething issues, franchise creator Ed Boon revealed last week that MKX's launch was the most successful in the series' history to date. People just love pulling arms and heads off .
Other additions in the new update include optimised shaders and a fix to prevent replays from using up too much hard drive storage space. It's out now on all platforms.
