Those dastardly data-miners have been at it again - Hearthstone fan sites are buzzing with the news that information taken from a patch that appeared on the Blizzard servers yesterday hints at a new expansion for the strategic card game.
Some quick data-mining revealed hidden references to a new adventure focusing on World of Warcraft's iconic Blackrock Mountain region, including Molten Core, Ragnaros, and Golden Celebration card backs.
Molten Core (the most famous of WoW's original roster of dungeon raids) and Ragnaros (a boss located therein) are obviously terms linked directly to the Warcraft universe, but the Golden Celebration back suggests something a little different. Fans are speculating that it could be something planned to celebrate Hearthstone's one year anniversary.
With such a heavy focus on the locations and enemies of the Blackrock Mountain region, it certainly seems like Blizzard is planning some kind of event or adventure mode set there. Probably in the same vein as last year's Curse of Naxxramas expansion, which was also based on existing WoW content.
