Sprays have once again returned to CS:GO however, some players are unhappy with their implementation. The sprays allow you to graffiti the landscape with your chosen design. Sprays can only be obtained through either microtransactions, the steam marketplace and a random chance to drop when you rank up.
Not only are the sprays monetized but according to the FAQ “When a player unseals graffiti they can apply that pattern 50 times. Players who unseal a graffiti pattern they already have in their Inventory will receive 50 additional charges to their existing supply.”
This means on top of having to spend money to obtain these purely cosmetic items, they are in fact completely consumable meaning that players will have to purchase them over and over again if they want to use them. Some critics have voiced their displeasure that the items are consumable and have to be bought with real world money.
