Killing Floor was a surprising success back in 2009, and its sequel looks to keep up its gory shooter gameplay for a second round. Killing Floor 2 has had its cooperative zombie-killing action in Early Access for nearly a year-and-a-half, but it seems that the title is getting itself a full, 1.0 release, as the game will be out this November.
Killing Floor 2 has players in the midst of a European zombie outbreak, working together with other survivors to make it through the waves of undead with their lives. The sequel doubles down on the gory action, with a full system of entrails, severed limbs, and blood remaining persistent through each level as you wreak destruction.
You can either fight the zombies in solo play or team up with as many as five fellow survivors in 6-player co-op. Up to 12 players can enjoy the PvP mode, which pits human teams against groups controlling their brain-hungry nemeses. You can expect a variety of weapons, a perk system expanded over the original, and loads of brutal combat.
Killing Floor 2’s final release will be available on November 18 for PC and PlayStation 4.
