Doom is out very soon. In just over two months, as a matter of fact. So now is that magical part of the marketing cycle where we sit back and wait for a steady drip of new information. Today, a multiplayer teaser. The video below is precisely 43 seconds long, and accounting for opening and closing logos, shows precisely 30 seconds of footage detailing Doom’s multiplayer maps. There are space bases. There is Hell. Doom guys shoot other Doom guys in these space bases and Hell. Look, man, it’s 30 seconds of footage. Watch it yourself. The Bethesda blog offers a little more detail. Maps will be full of old-school features like bounce pads, exploding barrels, and teleporters, the latter of which will sadly only transport bodies and not bullets. Stages will also be filled with environmental hazards ranging from damaging radioactive slime and fire to insta-kill lava and pits of death. These are the nine maps you can expect for Doom’s launch:
