Deck 13, the developers of sci-fi action RPG The Surge, have released brand new screenshots showing off some of the enemies in the game.
In case you haven’t heard of this game before, The Surge has you playing as CREO factory employee Warren. Warren is equipped with the latest mechanical exoskeleton designed to assist in heavy industrial labour. You can probably guess what happens next… Warren gets into trouble at the company, soon you’ll have to upgrade your exoskeleton to fight and survive against enemies.
Here’s some information about the combat in The Surge, taken directly from the press release: “The Surge’s combat system is fast-paced, tactical, and brutal, with an innovative limb targeting system enabling you to attack and cut off specific limbs, farming materials to craft upgrades for your exo-suit. Some enemies will have less armour on their legs or their arms, making for an easy kill, but poor loot! You have to decide if you want to go for the easy kill, or instead opt for modules and crafting materials that will give you a combative edge.”
You will need to be careful when fighting against some of the security forces, because they use the same exo-suit-technology as you! Not only that, they also bring with them some weapons too, making them incredibly dangerous.
The Surge is scheduled for release sometime in 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
