Though it was never directly shut down by those barking at Ubisoft for confirmation as to whether we'd ever see another entry into the Beyond Good & Evil world, a stray Instagram shot by creator Michel Ancel has reignited hope of the dream becoming a reality.
The image - <a href-"https://www.instagram.com/p/BK2aRqvAC2S/">seen here</a> - has since been tweeted out by one of Ubisoft's many regional Twitter accounts seemingly confirming their involvement in the concept art despite the fact the original post even has Michel directly thanking them for 'making this possible'.
The ripple effect comes from Michel's use of the tagline "Somewhere in system 4" referencing the world in which Beyond Good & Evil takes place. While others are attempting to diffuse the situation and put a dampener on hopes of this being a new game, its seeming incredibly likely at this point.
Whether its a remake, prequel or sequel is, of course, still in the open. And although Ubisoft are riding the movie train a little hard lately, it seems unlikely they'd go along that route for a story that isn't as fleshed out as say... Assassins Creed.
Who knows when we'll see mention of this again; but its safe to say Beyond Good & Evil will be back in some form. Rumors point toward Nintendo funding the project for exclusivity on the new NX platform similar to their strategy with Devil's Third and Bayonetta 2.
