Apparently Frozenbyte, the Finnish indie group best known for the Trine series, have been getting a few heated comments about their new game 'Has-Been Heroes' and decided to share them with the world.
Oh how the might have fallen - is something you'd likely see in a user review of Has-Been Heroes. The comical rogue-like released across numerous platforms throughout March to varying degrees of success.
Reminiscent of Marmite, Vegimite or any other such substance that has a legendary love/hate relationship with the world, Has-Been Heroes either garners flattering reviews or questions about the developer's sanity. Of course, developers need constructive criticism to improve - but when they're less than constructive, they may occasionally meet their makers in what could only be described as an anti-troll 'trial by combat' situation.
Has-Been Heroes Is A New Rogue-Like From The Makers Of Trine
Reading out some of their 'favourite' mean-spirited reviews, the Frozenbyte team gathered together to bask in the cruel world of player criticisms. Called out for questionable font choices, difficulty curves and their adoration for skeletons (of varying sizes) wearing hats, it's difficult to tell whether the team is taking the critique to heart or disagreeing completely. Their words say one thing, but their eyes say another.
Regardless, they promise that fans of the Has-Been Heroes can look forward to something new in due time. It's a strange way to say 'we're working on post-game content', but at least it allows for the tactful use of memes.
