Proof of Wife is a unique side-quest in Borderlands 3’s Lectra City on Promethea. To gain access to this area, you’re first going to have to deal with the Killavolt boss, but its exact location should reveal shortly after loading into the level.
This quest tasks you with conducting a prisoner exchange: Tumorhead will ask you to free the imprisoned love of her life, Bloodshine. In return, she will free the Atlas soldier she kidnapped. Proof of Wife is one of the wilder side-quests in the game, and will reward you with the Soleki Protocol Epic sniper rifle.
Proof of Wife Location
Proof of Wife is a simple quest to unlock and locate. You can visit the location depicted on the map above as soon as you get rid of Killavolt and load into Lectra City. Note that the quest is accessible from a few other locations as well, so grab whichever comes first. Just make sure that you’re at least level 13, as that’s the minimum requirement for the quest to start.
Proof of Wife Objectives
You’re going to have to deal with a wide variety of objectives as part of Proof of Wife. This includes taking down both Cop Bots and Bandits across Lectra, and as you may expect, things don’t end well for Bloodshine and Tumorhead. Here’s a list of objectives to reference:

Quite a wild ride, that one. As we mentioned before, your reward for slaughtering a whole family of bandits is Soleki Protocol, an Epic Maliwan Sniper Rifle that may come in handy further down the line. It’s worth pointing out that, since you cannot upgrade weapons, it may be wise to attempt completing Proof of Wife after you’ve already entered the endgame. Since doing so will scale all of the quests to your level, Soleki Protocol, too, will be much more powerful when you finally do get it.
We’ve got a similarly neat guide on how to find and finish the ‘Kill the Unstoppable’ quest. If you’re having trouble with finding The Unstoppable, our guide is a pretty good place to start your search.
