As Phantom Liberty completes what many consider to be Cyberpunk 2077’s successful redemption arc, patch 2.02’s release date is when the futuristic RPG is getting some additional polish and fixes for a handful of annoying issues.
Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.02 release date won’t drastically change the game, but developer CD Projekt Red promises that the update will address a number of issues, including some tied to courier mission timers and protagonist V flatlining when they shouldn’t.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.02 Release Date
Although the developer has yet to share a release date for Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.02, it has confirmed that we won’t have to wait too long for the update to be deployed.

In a support article on its website, the studio confirmed that update 2.02 is “coming soon.” while detailing the changes we can expect from it.
Here are some notable highlights lifting the veil from what’s to come:
- V will no longer flatline after entering the Delamain AV in Path of Glory.
- Fixed the shutters blocking entry to Black Sapphire in Run This Town.
- Fixed an issue where cyberware could get downgraded to Tier 1 after updating the game to 2.01.
- Fixed skill progression passives.
- Rebalanced the timers in courier missions.
- Note: The issue where players on Xbox Series X|S are not receiving the Quadra Sport R-7 "Vigilante" pre-order bonus is still under investigation. We're working together with Microsoft to identify the root cause and bring you a fix as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience
As for how “soon” we’ll no longer have to deal with the issues listed above and more, it’s a bit hard to tell at this point.
We could see it happening before the end of October, but the update’s launch could also slip into November and beyond, depending on its full scope.
All we can do is wait for official word from the developer and, hopefully, it won’t be too long before we learn more.
