Side stories like High on the Hog give Evil Genius 2 players the opportunity to steal special loot items and showcase them in their lair. They represent a nice detour on your road to world domination, some of them having rather humorous or surprising outcomes.
High on the Hog, like other Evil Genius 2 side stories, involves spending quite a bit time on the world stage, completing various schemes, and this guide walks you through the entire process of getting a new animal friend.
In this one, you’re after a flying pig. That happens solely because, in the past, one particular Agent claimed that the Evil Genius you play as would rule the world when pigs flew. Since one shouldn’t squander any opportunity, you start by stealing records from P.A.T.R.I.O.T’s news archive on the World Stage.
You need to scout the Eastern P.A.T.R.I.O.T States in North America and build a level 2 Criminal Network there. Depending on your research priorities up until this point, you may have to spend some time researching the proper technology in the Global Operation section of your research tree.
This allows you to access the International Enqiury Scheme, whose completion requires 5 Workers, 5 Scientists an 15 Intel. After it succeeds, you’ll need to inspect the records at a Computer Console. You’ve likely built at least a few in your Control Room to generate Intel. Select any of them in your lair and pick the Inspect Records option. A Scientist will run to it and do it automatically.
You’ll then need to raid the Ludo Technologies lab, as your minions have locked down the location of the sought-after flying pig. Once more, you have to set up a level 2 Criminal Network, only in the Western P.A.T.R.I.O.T States. This grants access to the A Hams-On Approach Scheme, which requires 6 Guards, 4 Scientists and 20 Intel.
Once you’ve completed it, you’ll get the Bringing Home the Bacon Scheme in the same area. Get 4 Workers, 2 Technicians, 2 Valets, and 15 Intel prepared, launch it, and wait for it to complete. That’s the final Scheme in the side story, giving you access to the Flying Pig in the Loot tab of your build menu. The end result, however, may not exactly be what you’re expecting.
