Like many RPGs before it, Greedfall has a plethora of quests to go through as you explore its world and lore. The Demonical Cult quest, however, can prove a bit tricky.
Although it starts relatively straightforward, the Demonical Cult quest faces the player with a puzzle as they near its end. Here’s everything you need to know about how to complete the Demonical Cult quest in Greedfall.
Greedfall Demonical Cult Quest
The Demonical Cult quest is one of Greedfall’s main quests. More specifically, it starts after completing the Old Countries in a New World quest before it. The first step towards completing it involves speaking to the villagers in the Village of Vedleug. You’ll be directed towards it and can spot it on the map, so you shouldn’t worry about getting lost.
Once you’ve talked to all the villagers, report your findings to sister Ephesia.You’ll then need to talk to the nervous female NPC again, at which point she’ll ask for sister Ephesia’s hat in exchange for helping you distract a villager who has more information on the cult. Talking to Ephesia will result in her giving you her hat. Give it to the NPC, follow her and after she distracts the target, enter their house and examine everything you can find.
You’re about halfway through to completing the Demonical Cult quest in Greedfall at this point. Return to sister Ephesia again, report your findings, and go to the marked location on the map. After getting there and hiding, you’ll have to follow a man without getting spotted. You’ll need to hide when he stops although during one of the stops, flying monsters will attack and you will have to kill them. If you do get spotted by the man, you’ll have to resort to killing which will net you -1 reputation with the native faction.
If you follow the man all the way, you’ll reach an area with interactable stones. This is the puzzle that needs completing in order to find the Demonical Cult in Greedfall. The correct order in which to interact with the stones is the following:
- Wind Stone
- Lightning Stone
- Fire Stone
- Death Stone
- Water Stone
- Life Stone
Lighting the candles in the wrong order will trigger a fight against flying monsters after which you’ll have to repeat the sequence. If you get it right, you’ll have to go inside the nearby cave, watch the cutscene, and return to Derdre. That’s how you complete Greedfall’s Demonical Cult quest.
