Like any other RPG, Greedfall has a multitude of side quests that players can embark on in an effort to further flesh out the goings on of the world. The Theological Conflicts side quest is one of them.
This is also one of the quests where you'll have to put aside your weapons for a while and trust your detective and dialogue skills. Here's everything you need to know about how to complete the Theological Conflicts side quest in Greedfall.
Greedfall Theological Conflicts Quest
The Theological Conflicts side quest begins automatically once you've beaten Trouble in Eden and Face to Face With The demon, a side quest and main quest respectively. In it, you'll first need to talk to scientists after they've finished their research and ask them about their progress.
Afterward, you'll want to go talk to brother Fidelis and Naut. Thus, you'll get your hands on an antidote. Give Fidelis the antidote and he'll point you in the direction of the theologists' camp. You'll get there by taking the newly opened patch from Vedvilvie. After talking to the scientists there, you'll be tasked with finding some missing people.
At this point in Greedfall's Theological Conflicts quest you'll want to make sure you've access to the Science 2 skill, whether through your own character or a party member. Investigating the corpses using this skill will reveal that those were anything but natural deaths. Go back to the theologists' camp and speak to brother Virgil. He will confess his crimes, at which point you'll have three options to proceed:
- Reveal Virgil's deeds: Results in a fight with Virgil, gaining +1 reputation with Theleme and new missions from Eugenie after talking to her.
- Convince Virgil to leave the expedition: Results in getting 50 gold and +1 reputation with Theleme after talking to Eugenie.
- Accept Virgil's bribe of 100 gold: Results in you gaining 100 gold and +3 reputation with Theleme after talking to Virgil again. If Siora is in your party when making this choice, you will also lose 1 reputation with her.
Greedfall is out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
