It’s no secret that Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics cards sold insanely fast as soon as they became available. Many people didn’t get a chance to grab one from the initial stock, among them Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios.
The developer revealed that it still doesn’t have an Nvidia RTX 3080, although that didn’t stop it from fixing “graphical quirks” that people lucky enough to own a card were experiencing while playing Baldur’s Gate 3.
“Graphical quirks on Nvidia 3080 cards have also been fixed. Fun story: because the card was so wildly popular, we couldn’t source any to test with prior to launch.” reads a post on Steam.
Larian Studios Couldn't Test Baldur's Gate 3 on GeForce RTX 3080 Cards
“We still don’t have one. At this point, we’re pretty sure you guys made up the RTX 3080. Prove it exists by sending one to us.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available in Early Access and has already received not just one hotfix, but two addressing crashes and multiplayer-related issues.
