Smilegate’s Lost Ark, the Amazon-backed F2P Action RPG, will be getting a brand new class very soon.
On the studio’s Lost Ark Acadamy site, it announced that on September 28, the Machinist Advanced Class will be dropping into the land of Arkesia and bringing some literal big guns with it. The Machinist is equipped with a hi-tech suit that features machine guns, laser weapons, and remote strike drones in order to obliterate anyone that stands in their way.

Their skill set is split into four sub-divisions. Normal (guns and grenades), Drone (ranged remote combat), Combo (a mix of the two previous), and Sync (a super powerful special attack set). Yes, Lost Ark effectively has its own Iron Man. By improving their skills, the Machinist will be able to work in tandem with their drones more efficiently.
This will be Lost Ark’s fifth Gunner class, joining Artillerist, Deadeye, Gunslinger, and Sharpshooter. The studio has been on a steady roll since first releasing Lost Ark in February of this year, with plenty more additions promised for the game’s future.
Come September 28, Lost Ark players will get to live out their Tony Stark fantasies. No, not those ones.
