Phasmophobia by Alan Wake, the popular co-op horror game’s first-ever collaboration event, has now started, infusing an extra dose of mystery into its ghost hunts. Ending on June 2, 2026, it gives us three weeks to make our way across several revamped maps and unlock character skins inspired by Remedy Entertainment’s excellent survival horror sequel.
Available as part of a free update that’s now live across all platforms, the Phasmophobia by Alan Wake event sees the worlds of the two franchises colliding, revamping four of the former’s maps.
Phasmophobia By Alan Wake Collaboration Event Now Live
Ghost hunters exploring Nell’s Diner, the Grafton and Bleasdale Farmhouses, and Camp Woodwind, will be “challenged to search for pages of Alan’s writing” penned by Remedy Entertainment Creative Director Sam Lake himself.
In addition, the Phasmophobia By Alan Wake event also gives us the chance to unlock two new skins depicting Alan Wake and FBI agent Saga Anderson by completing in-game challenges.
“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with such an iconic title for our first collaboration,” said Daniel Knight, CEO and Game Director at Kinetic Games. “We’re big fans of the Alan Wake franchise, and knew it would fit perfectly with Phasmophobia. We can’t wait for our ghost hunters to jump in today and experience a small piece of the Dark Place in our game, and we can’t thank Remedy Entertainment enough for allowing us to create one of the most exciting in-game events for Phasmophobia yet.”
“It’s an honor and joy for us to collaborate with the Phasmophobia team in this event. Our two franchises complement each other perfectly. A word of caution to all the potential ghost hunters out there, if you choose to enter, you might never be able to leave the Dark Place. You have been warned,” added Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment
The Phasmophobia By Alan Wake collabiration event is live between May 12, 2026, and June 2, 2026. It follows the launch of the co-op horror title’s Player Character Update, which gave player characters actual bodies, a new host of animations, cosmetic items, and more.
