Kinetic Games, the developer of popular horror game Phasmophobia, today announced the launch of its publishing label, Kinetic Publishing, which aims to help small teams and solo developers bring their games to market.
Kinetic Publishing will tackle a wide range of genres, primarily supporting small teams and solo developers “who have a clear vision for their title and are 12-18 months from release.” The publisher aims to offer financial, legal, and marketing support as well as wider development guidance.
Phasmophobia Developer Announces Kinetic Publishing Label
Kinetic Games CEO Daniel Knight himself started as a solo developer when he first launched Phasmophobia, and he brings the experience he has gathered over these five years to Kinetic Publishing.
The publishing label’s team is spearheaded by five core senior members “who’ll each be maintaining visibility across their projects and respective disciplines at the studio.”
Industry veteran Asim Tanvir joins as Director of Marketing & Partnerships, bringing more than 15 years of experience gained by leading community, marketing, and social efforts for major publishers such as 2K, Konami, and Zynga.
“We want to join the ranks of supportive indie publishers who champion and encourage creativity,” Tanvir said. “We hope the guidance and support that we provide to indie teams will help in ensuring they succeed in what they do best, as well as encouraging innovation within the development space.”
While Kinetic Publishing is preparing to support other small teams and solo developers, Kinetic Games remains “entirely focused” on Phasmophobia, as the horror game steadily marches towards its 1.0 launch. The studio, which has grown to employ more than 30 people since its early days, will soon reveal a roadmap for 2026.
“It’s such an exciting time for indie game development, I can say that in the past five years I’ve learned so much,” Knight added. “The fact we’ve grown so much as a company means we’re now in the place where we want to support studios who come under our wing, and provide the support I’d have appreciated at the start of my journey.”
More details about Kinetic Publishing are available in its dedicated section of the Kinetic Games website.
