Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s update 1.5 is now making its way to our download queues, introducing a list of changes developer Owlcat Games describes as “gargantuan.”
Among them, we find a rebalanced colony management experience, four reworked origins, additional polish given to the Lex Imperialis DLC’s content, as well as the removal of several potential softlocks and crashes.
Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader Update 1.5
Once you load Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader’s update 1.5, you’ll notice that the Astra Militarum Commander, Ministorum Priest, Navy Officer, and Commissar origins received a “massive redesign and were effectively remade from scratch to bring them in line with the newer and stronger origins.” This is especially great news for anyone planning another playthrough in the near future.
As far as colony management goes, its replenishable consumable system has been reworked, now providing consumables more regularly and notifying you when your loot is ready for pickup.
The reward amount is different since, rather than offering the maximum possible, it now “replenishes your consumable count (including equipped and cargo-ed items) up to a specific amount.”
Furthermore, Rogue Trader’s update 1.5 also adds 45 new Xeno and Astartes items alongside four new NPC portraits. Rare and exotic weapons have also received no less than 25 new talents and mechanical changes.
The polish added to the Lex Imperialis DLC includes corrections to tone of voice, style of text, and various descriptions, the addition of new reactions to specific situations, additional NPC banter, and more.
The list goes on, including a variety of narrative changes, fixes for crashes, and much more. You can check out the Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader update 1.5 patch notes on Steam.
Although Owlcat Games has confirmed that Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is on the way, Rogue Trader is slated to receive another season of DLC in 2026, with two chunky pieces of content currently in development.
