Find out how much Marathon costs, and where you can buy Bungie’s stylish extraction shooter for less.
The legendary developer behind Halo and Destiny has unleashed its striking PvPvE shooter on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. The game sees players face off and team up on the dark sci-fi world of Tau Ceti IV. Supplies are finite, and everything is hostile, so you’ll need to keep your wits about you if you want to survive and extract with your hard-earned bounty.
Interest in Marathon has been steadily growing, but how much does Marathon cost, and where can you buy Marathon more cheaply?
Cheapest Places to Buy Marathon
Marathon Price Summary:
- Standard Edition: £34.99
- Deluxe Edition: £49.99
- Cheapest PC price (ShopTo): £26.85
The good news is that Marathon doesn’t carry the usual full-price AAA price tag. The base version costs £34.99 across all platforms, while the Deluxe Edition costs £49.99.
There isn’t a physical release of Marathon, which makes finding discounts a little trickier for console players. One option is to pick up discounted PlayStation Store credit from ShopTo. For example, £50 PSN credit is available for around £44.85, which can help reduce the price if you’re planning to buy the Deluxe Edition. Unfortunately, Xbox Gift Cards are currently sold at full retail price.
ShopTo also has PC codes for Marathon and its Deluxe Edition for £26.85 and £37.85) respectively.
That’s slightly cheaper than other storefronts like Humble Bundle (£29.83 with a Humble Choice membership) and Fanatical (£30.09). If you’re hoping to find it even cheaper, you’d likely need to look at more questionable grey-market sellers.
Otherwise, your best option may simply be to wait for the game’s first major sale, which could take some time to arrive. We will be keeping an eye out for price drops.
Marathon is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
