CD Projekt have just wrapped up The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, the final expansion to the Witcher series for. As CD Projekt fans will understand, creating huge titles that maintain a high quality is a time consuming process, which is why Cyberpunk 2077 will not be at E3 this year.
In an interview with Eurogamer, CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski told the website not to expect Cyberpunk 2077 at E3. "It might happen that we will be at E3 and we will show something at E3, but I just want to make it clear it's not Cyberpunk,” said Iwinski. "We still have a lot of work to do with Cyberpunk."
In an interview with, Jose Teixeira, visual effects artist for CD Projekt RED, claimed the software they use to create the game was being updated drastically.
Teixeira mentions some of the problems the developers had while creating The Witcher 3 and how they wanted better software to alleviate those problems: “The most important thing that’s happening at the moment is that the programmers are taking the feedback we gave them from working on The Witcher. As cliché as it sounds it was a big learning experience.”
Gamers have been playing the heck out of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and while The Witcher 4, CD Projekt RED fans need not be too worried, as in a by a German publication, inside sources leaked that Cyberpunk 2077, the studios sci-fi RPG based on the popular R. Talsorian pen-and-paper roleplaying game, may be coming earlier than the original 2017 target.
Witcher 3 brought the series to a whole new level. The series has put CD Projekt Red on the map and flourished in 2015 as one of the best action-adventure titles of all time. That said, everyone certainly wants to know if CD Project Red will continue on with the series. The answer is yes, but not anytime soon.
CD Projekt's senior VP of business and publishing Michal Nowakowski revealed in anthat a majority of the development team that had been working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have been put on Cyberpunk 2077, and have been "quite a while right now."
