With The Game Awards right around the corner, a recent leak has revealed the identity of one villain we’ll face off against in 007 First Light, IO Interactive’s upcoming spy-themed action-adventure game.
A now-deleted video, likely of the trailer slated to air during The Game Awards, originally posted on the game’s official Twitter account, introduces us to Bawma, the stylish, powerful villain played by musician and actor Lenny Kravitz.
007 First Light Leak Reveals Lenny Kravitz Playing Villain Bawma
The leaked trailer, set in Aleph, Mauritania, shows a young James Bond trapped by the newly revealed villain who – as the protagonist hangs above a pit full of crocodiles – waxes poetic about his power and influence.
“I am sometimes asked, Bawma, how is it that you hear every whisper in every corner of Aleph? And I answer: I built Aleph with my will, my blood, my whole self. This city is an extension of my being, my body. Today, it became infected,” he boasts before turning another captured victim into gator food.
The trailer cuts off afterwards but things are pretty clear. Lenny Kravitz both voices and dons his likeness to 007 First Light’s new villain, Bawma.
The title is expected to launch on March 27, 2026 and is headed to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
In other news related to The Game Awards, a different leak has potentially shown us what’s next for the Tomb Raider series.
And, although Divinity Original Sin 3 won’t make an appearance, more signs point towards a Warhammer 40,000-themed Total War game being revealed tonight.
