Via the Official PlayStation forums, a thrilled Shijima announced, ”Finally I can bring you the news you’ve all been waiting for: SOCOM: Confrontation has been approved for release in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand!”
The long awaited title will arrive on UK shores from March 13th, European stores on March 18th and the European PlayStation Store from March 19th.
Released during October 2008 in the US, SOCOM: Confrontation suffered many game-breaking glitches and lag problems that required an influx of patches to fix. Hopefully all these problems will have been resolved in time for the European release, and the series can return to the heights of previous entries in the tactical-thinking franchise.
