Initially the game starts only on the island of Ibiza but an airport unlocks, letting drivers go to the original game's Hawaiian island of Oahu.
Ibiza is littered with off-road networks as well as plenty of asphalt stretches to flex those automobiles. Advancing through the game's career mode is now a blend of competitive racing, exploration, social diversions and collectibles.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 is all about earning serious bank to spend on bigger, meatier cars to tear up the peaceful tranquillity of the island - while looking super cool doing it. Eden now includes the option to 'step out' of your car and for social activities.
You have an avatar and a home in similar vein to PlayStation Home, so you can tweak furniture and probably choose better slacks. Online play means you can form your own racing cliques with a customisable clubhouse to go with it.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this autumn.
