At the beginning of October, we covered the system requirements that dropped for Star Wars: Battlefront on the official Origin page. Those requirements stated that the game would require at least 40GB of free space. However, recent news states that we may end up using less space than initially expected.
The news came from Star Wars: Battlefront’s official Twitter page, where they answered a question another user had about PS4 disk space. The twitter answered for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, stating that PS4 would have a 23GB requirement, the PC would have 27GB requirement, and the Xbox One would have a surprisingly minimal 19GB requirement.
@cristianvaca_ Star Wars Battlefront will be a 23GB download on PS4, 19GB on Xbox One and 27GB on Origin.

It’s hard to say exactly what changed outside of optimization, but a 13 GB drop in necessary space seems pretty substantial, especially considering that many blockbusters coming out these days require much more. Either way, it’s a welcome statement for those of us that have been considering what we’re going to do to make room for the game on November 17th.
In the mean time, be sure to check out the live-action trailer that dropped recently.
