Confirming the dataminers know what they're doing, Blizzard officially unveiled the Overwatch Holiday Update through a single tweet yesterday afternoon.
Though it certainly doesn't quite deliver on the details, being just a short "You're invited" message and a GIF showing a glimpse of the holiday-themed King's Row map, it at least confirms the idea of reskinned maps and the December 13 release date.

Whether we'll have to wait for the update to land before getting all the information we so desperately desire is beyond us right now. Maybe they'll tease the additional character skins, loot box contents and further map updates over the next few days - maybe they won't - but we have a long list of presents our dataminer friends made us scribble down with their efforts, and we're ravenous for them now.
If you're not in with the year's biggest shooter, you totally should be. Check out our glowing review here.
Nine characters were said to don holiday garb for the festive season, including newer heroes like Ana and Sombra (still feels strange knowing she actually exists now); others are hoping to see the map update leaks bare fruit which mentioned between one and three reskinned locations. We have one, but now we want two more, naturally.
We're less than a week away at this point, so prepare yourselves for another Overwatch blowout over the festive period. Everyone likes time-limited skins - if we're getting any.
