Kaplan And The Tease Crew continue to poke and prod Overwatch fans from all available angles as hints about the game's next incoming character continue to be thrown around.
Following Jeff's venture onto the Overwatch forums to discuss - and derail - a thread simply asking how long it typically takes to incorporate new character emotes and animations, Kaplan started the tease train by telling that very same thread that the next new hero wouldn't be who everyone thought it would be.

With the big money being on Doomfist at the time, fans were suddenly left scrambling for new information after the Sombra ARG - which, subsequently brought the shady character into the game - initially teased Doomfist as the next. With little to go on, Blizzard were in prime position to start teasing the solution. But the clues are everywhere.
Showing off concept art during a talk at GDC, it was clear Kaplan knew what he was doing by including an unfamiliar face in an image that would make waves the moment it flashed up on the screen. Potentially throwing would-be listeners of his talk completely off-guard, the mech-like creature just didn't fit the bill of a typical Overwatch hero. With its potential creator - Efi Oladele - being just 12-years old in the game, fans were expecting this to be something remotely controlled by the intelligent young girl.
Throwing folks of the mark yet again, the Doomfist hype train was brought back on track following the latest PTR release showing off some noteworthy changes to the Numbani map that illustrated announcement that the place had been attacked with the Doomfist glove once on full display now being missing while a large dent became present in the wall of the Attacking side's respawn room.
Shutting down fan expectations once more, however, Jeff hopped into the resulting Reddit thread making sure to reassure to the fans that the forthcoming hero still wasn't on their detective radars by once again uttering that it wouldn't be who they were currently thinking it to be.

So who can it be? No mech from the image and no Doomfist from the attack. The fans don't know who to think, but the continued Twitter teases still point toward Efi Oladele's newest creation - OR15 - after her recent 'interview'. But maybe the drip-feed story is merely hinting at something even further into the future. So who else? Tracer's girlfriend, maybe? That'd be a plot twist. Not after the Christmas comic, Blizzard.
