Publisher and developer Funcom today announced that Conan Exiles Update 3.0 is on the way, having locked down its release date to later this year. Its launch brings a series of notable changes to the survival game and ushers in the Age of Sorcery, which marks the transition to a seasonal model as far as post-launch content is concerned.
Conan Exiles Age of Sorcery lets you wield the power of magic as long as you're willing to pay a price. You can cast spells, become invisible, call upon the power of storms, and summon unholy creatures as long as you're willing to become corrupted and sacrifice a portion of your own health and stamina.

Update 3.0 also deepens character progression, adds rebalancing attributes, and lets you specialize even further by giving you perk choices for each attribute.
The game's building system is also in line to be overhauled, receiving an interface that's easier to use with both keyboards and controllers.
In addition, a new Creative Mode will also be introduced, letting you channel your inner architect without worrying about material or movement restrictions.

Tweaks to followers, new sorcery-themed placeables and crafting materials, as well as other updates to the world are also planned to arrive once the Age of Sorcery arrives.
Subsequent ages function much like seasons in other games, having "own theme, free gameplay updates, and paid Battle Passes, which replace the current DLC model," according to a statement sent to us by Funcom.
"Ages look to the future, in order to deliver evenly paced content drops and an easy way for any player to support the game’s growth and receive exclusive themed cosmetics."
More details about Conan Exiles update 3.0 and the Age of Sorcery will be shared in the lead-up to launch.
