Each friendship quest you set out to complete in Disney Dreamlight Valley tasks you with collecting certain items from around the Valley. When it comes to finding a Vial of Ocean Water, that means you’ve reached Elsa’s first quest, Breaking the Ice. This quest, once completed, will ultimately upgrade your Royal Pickaxe allowing you to break small chunks of ice that were previously unmoveable.
It’s the first in a string of related quests from Elsa set to unravel the mystery of the Ice Cavern located in the Forest of Valor biome. For Breaking the Ice, Elsa tasks players with crafting the Warmth of Summer Potion, and one important ingredient is a Vial of Ocean Water. So, how do you get it?
Where to find a Vial of Ocean Water in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Top of your list of ingredients to gather for the Warmth of Summer Potion is a Vial of Ocean Water. To obtain this special item, you’ll need to head to Dazzle Beach and then walk along the shore between Ursula’s Cave and Goofy’s Stall.
Along the way the shoreline will sparkle in one particular spot which can be approached and then interacted with to pick up the Vial of Ocean Water. Fortunately, you don’t have to craft an Empty Vial in order to collect the water.
How to find the other ingredients for Disney Dreamlight Valley Breaking the Ice Quest
A Vial of Ocean Water is only the first of five ingredients needed to craft this special potion for Elsa. You’ll also need:
- Sunflowers x5
- Lemons x5
- Sugarcane x2
- Garlic
Sunflowers can be found in Dazzle Beach, Lemons can be harvested from lemon trees in the Glade of Trust or Forest of Valor, Sugarcane can be purchased from Goofy’s Stall on Dazzle Beach. Note: Sugarcane is not always available to buy from Goofy’s Stall and you may need to return the next day or purchase seeds to grow your own. And finally, Garlic can be foraged from plants around the Forest of Valor.
How to craft the Warmth of Summer Potion in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Once you’ve collected all the ingredients listed above, you’ll need to head to a crafting station. The potion will appear under the Potion & Enchantment tab for crafting recipes and will utilise everything you’ve gathered. Return to Elsa and give her the potion which she will then apply to your Royal Pickaxe.
With the ability now granted to destroy small ice shards, you’ll gain entry to the Ice Cavern and work your way through the inside to proceed on your quest to discover the mystery held within.
