Completing Survival challenges in Fallout 76 is a good way to get your hands on a number of special weapons, such as the Unstoppable Monster, while also giving the game’s PVP mode a shot.
Here’s what you need to know about how to get the Unstoppable Monster weapon in Fallout 76 and dish out some melee hurt on your opponents.
Fallout 76 Unstoppable Monster
The Unstoppable Monster is a special variant of the Deathclaw Gauntlet and getting your hands on it, or rather it on your tiny fists, requires completing this week’s Succumb to Depravity Survival challenge. It’s made up of five different tasks: cook a meal while intoxicated, eat raw meat, kill a critter while starving, kill a human-like creature with a melee weapon, and claim a workshop while mutated.
Cooking a meal while intoxicated literally requires you to get drunk and cook some raw meat at a cooking station. Eating raw meat should be the easiest of the five tasks required for getting the Unstoppable Monster. Find an animal, kill it, eat the meat without cooking it. It can even be a critter, which takes us to the next task. Critters in Fallout 76 are smaller creatures that don’t automatically attack you when you’re in range. Think frogs or fireflies. They’re fairly often encountered in your journey across Appalachia, so just make sure your hunger is in the red, or at 0, before killing it.
Killing a human-like creature with a melee weapon is fairly self-explanatory as well. Equip any melee weapon you might have in your inventory and head towards a place infested with Scorched. Bash their brains in and there’s one step left to the Unstoppable Monster. Claiming a workshop while mutated isn’t particularly hard either, as long as other players don’t come around to raise up trouble. Decide upon a workshop, then find a puddle of water or any other sort of rads and wait for the mutation to kick in before going in and claiming it.
Now that you’ve obtained, it’s worth knowing that the Unstoppable Monster does more damage the lower the character’s health is, comes with 40% more power attack damage right off the bat and makes you take 40% less damage while power attacking. As you can probably tell, that makes it one of the more potent melee weapons in Fallout 76.
