Publisher Slitherine and developer Ageod have showcased more gameplay from upcoming grand strategy game Field of Glory: Kingdoms, giving us a better idea of what to expect when it launches next year.
Field of Glory: Kingdoms’ gameplay showcase was part of Field of Glory Day, a community event organized earlier this week in Milan, and which included a slate of other activities.
Field of Glory: Kingdoms Gameplay
Starting in 1054, Field of Glory: Kingdoms allows players to experience more than two centuries of European, African, and Middle Eastern history, as they build and grow their realm through diplomacy, trade, or warfare.
The chunky gameplay showcase, which you can watch on the publisher’s Twitch channel, delves into the title’s new Dynastic system.
It focuses on the options we have as rulers while also shining the spotlight on the “intricate system influencing those close to them, including wives, descendants, courtesans, family, and nobles.”
We also get to see Field of Glory: Kingdoms’ economic system, which allows us to develop our regional economy by constructing various buildings.
Although there is plenty to do during peacetime, warfare also plays an important role in determining the fate and size of your realm.
Field of Glory: Kingdoms is expected to launch on PC in 2024 and already has a dedicated Steam page where you can learn more about its features.
In addition, 2017’s Field of Glory II is still free-to-keep for the next couple of hours. If you hurry, you can add it to your library where it will wait for you until you feel like getting a taste of Rise of Rome-era tactics.
