Publisher and developer Fatshark has announced that Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Geheimnisnacht Halloween 2020 event has now begun, bringing seasonal spooks to the first-person action game.
Set to last until November 7, this year’s Geheimnisnacht event sees Taal’s Horn Keep – Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s hub area – covered in candles.
Additionally, Vermintide 2 is getting a night mode on both PC and console, which darkens the outdoor levels in the game’s adventure mode.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Geheimnisnacht Halloween 2020 Event
Fatshark hasn’t, however, announced any limited-time cosmetics for Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Geheimnisnacht Halloween 2020 event.
This is likely due to how it overlaps with the series’ fifth anniversary celebrations that were recently extended until November 1.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is also free-to-play until the same date and discounted by 75% until November 2.
If you’ve yet to try it out, now’s the time to hop in and slay some Skaven. You might even get a taste for it.
In related news, the developer aims to “remain committed” to Vermintide 2 after announcing Warhammer 40,000: Darktide earlier this year, while Dwarf hero Bardin Goreksson will receive the next premium career DLC.
