Phasmophobia’s maps are its playgrounds for ghost hunting and if you count among the many who frequently visit them for your weekly dose of spooks, you’re likely wondering when its Tanglewood map will be reworked in 2026.
As part of developer Kinetic Games’ efforts to improve the title’s existing map pool, Tanglewood is due a rework that, provided everything goes according to plan, will go live rather early in 2026.

“These reworks will bring with them updated visuals, slight but important gameplay/layout changes as well as a host of new assets, interactions and more,” the developer wrote when revealing its 2026 roadmap.
“Our aim with our map reworks is always to retain everything we all love about these maps but bring them in line with our overall vision for Phasmophobia, which we believe we achieved with last year’s reworks and are set to with these.”
As far as when Phasmophobia’s Tanglewood map will be reworked in 2026, the developer confirmed back in December that it is aiming for a Q1 2026 release for the level’s refreshed variant, alongside the game’s player character update.

As a bonus treat, we can also expect a new narrative mystery to uncover once the update drops. That is what we know so far about when Phasmophobia’s Tanglewood map will be reworked in 2026.
While developer Kinetic Games also announced a film adaptation for the title alongside a publishing label that aims to help indie developers, Phasmophobia’s in-game community events, including Cursed Hollow, are also returning this year.
