The first content patch for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls is on the way sometime later today. Buckle up, fellow adventurers, it's rather a big one. Patch 2.1.0 will bring a variety of new goodies, including periodical Season contests, enhanced Nephilim Rifts, a lovely new area named 'The Cesspool', and a bunch of combat and gameplay tweaks.
The hefty 2.10 patch for Diablo 3 is live right now, and to celebrate the first additional content for Reaper of Souls Blizzard is offering a week of double gold and Treasure Goblins. Diablo 3 characters' summoned pets have a tough time of it against Nephalem Rift Guardians and other super-powerful boss creatures, often dying before they get a chance to really do anything. Following complaints about the rising cost of Diablo pet insurance, Blizzard has posted on the game's forum to confirm that they're working on the issue.
