Solitaire Cash, the competitive mobile version of the classic card game, is continuing to evolve, this time with an arcade-inspired twist. The latest addition, Whack-a-Mole mode, brings reactive gameplay and fast decision-making to the forefront, layering arcade-style timing on top of the familiar Solitaire format.
Cartoon moles pop up randomly above the game’s columns in this new mode. Players can “whack” a mole by placing a valid card into the same column while it’s active. It’s a “quick hit or miss the moment”, and the mole disappears, but nail the timing and you’re rewarded with 1,000 bonus points per successful strike.
What makes Whack-a-Mole stand out in the gameplay is how seamlessly it fits into the existing rhythm of Solitaire. The core rules remain intact, but the added feature encourages sharper focus and quicker card placement. It’s a subtle shift that creates a more dynamic experience, without overwhelming players who are already juggling strategy and speed in real-time tournaments.
Like other game modes in Solitaire Cash, Whack-a-Mole becomes available to players through level progression, typically unlocking around level 8. The game’s structure rewards consistent play and skill development, with new challenges and tournament types revealed as users gain XP.
Papaya, the company behind Solitaire Cash, has succeeded by transforming familiar single-player games into social and skill-based competitions. With over 20 million downloads and over 20 million hosted tournaments a day, Papaya continues exploring new ways to keep gameplay fresh.
