It was no secret that another Doom was heading our way after the success of number 3, and id Software are now focusing more on story depth.
They've gone and shackled Fantasy author Graham Joyce to a desk to "help develop the storyline potential," by his own words. Doom 4 details are being closely guarded by id.
"Doom is part of the id Software DNA and demands the greatest talent and brightest minds in the industry to bring the next instalment of our flagship franchise to Earth," said the developer way back in May 2007.
Since then there's not been a peep from the team on how things are going, they staying very secret squirrel about the whole affair. "I can say that ID have hired me to help develop the storyline potential," said Joyce, but that's all he'd spill to CVG.
Doom has typically been about the marriage of cold space and hell's wrath; can we expect something new and spicy thrown into the mix?
