Yoshinori Kitase, FFXIII producer, has revealed that while the game is heading for Xbox 360 it was only until after the trial demo launched did they have the staff.
The team reached ”a point in the PS3 development” that some developers became spare to work on the Xbox 360 version, which is due for release in the US early next year.
”Up to the trial demo version that was released”, said Kitase-san, ”…was PS3-only in terms of development… The Xbox 360 version is definitely following after the PS3 version,” he continued.
They were ”finally able to come to a point in the PS3 development where some of the staff could take their hands off and start programming the 360 version.” Square Enix felt confident enough to show what they’ve accomplished in such a short time with a trailer at E3.
