Polish studio Ohnoo has made the demo of their nightmarish puzzle adventure game Tormentum available to download.
If you like tortured, Giger-esque landscapes filled with bizarre creatures and warped flesh-and-metal constructions (who doesn’t?) you might want to give it a look.
Certainly looks a little different from your usual fantasy fare, doesn’t it? You play as a mysterious wanderer with amnesia who’s searching for answers about who he really is. Aside from that gorgeous hand-painted art there’s fantastical characters to meet, a bunch of moral decisions to make and some devious puzzles to solve.
Maybe I’m just in that sort of mood, but I’m definitely up for any game that features a horrific meat-train crafted from the carrion of lost souls careening through a world of blasted smoke and ash.
Ohnoo has raised just over $9,700 for Tormentum, meeting and slightly surpassing their Indiegogo campaign target. There’s still 12 days left for them to push that number up a bit, with backers also netting a full copy of the game. Having been successfully voted through on Greenlight, it’s also coming to Steam sometime this year.
