Though we likely won't be seeing them in World of Warcraft again any time soon, Varian Wrynn and Ragnaros are making the trip into Heroes of the Storm.
These two new roster additions set themselves apart from earlier roster updates by being considerably different to the rest of the heroes currently available in Blizzard's MOBA title.
While Ragnaros can gain a second set of abilities by 'Empowering' any fort or keep on the map - in which the Firelord becomes a 'towering inferno' - Varian is the game's first attempt at a multi-role pick being able to hit hard or take the hard hits himself depending on how players distribute his talents throughout the match.
There's a new Brawl event coming, too - Blackheart's Revenge. The first asymmetrical gameplay addition pits players against each other as one team attempts to load up Blackheart's ship weapons while the other fights to stop the impending cannonball barrage.
Varian Wrynn will join the fight through the PTR next week. Ragnaros, however, will sit things out until December.
